What & How We Fund

We fund a wide range of registered charities and projects each year to help build a caring, healthy, and vibrant community.

Funding for the grants we provide comes from earnings from over 240 endowment funds; funds that were established by individuals – people like you – as well as local businesses and organizations.

Grants are provided in one of two ways:

1.Through one of the Foundation’s granting programs: All charities in the geographic area we serve are invited to apply for funding for projects in all areas that will enhance their community. Applications are reviewed by our experienced volunteer grants review team, and projects assessed based on their merit and community impact.

2.At the direction of donors: Each year we provide hundreds of grants to charities locally, provincially and nationally from donor directed funds.
