Thank You to our Volunteers!
This year’s National Volunteer Week was different for all of us. Rather than coming together to celebrate and thank our volunteers in person (as we usually do), we had to do it remotely.
So, our staff team had fun taking and sharing this photo with a heartfelt electronic message of thanks to the many wonderful volunteers we work with.
Did you know that the Community Foundation has 85 active volunteers?
Volunteers serve on our Board of Directors, numerous committees, and help at events and around the office. Our committees range from Governance and Investment to Granting and Marketing/Communications.

With such a small staff team (currently 2 full time, 2 part time employees), we truly could not do what we do without our skilled and dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers contribute an amazing amount of time and expertise to the organization – and help make the Foundation a fun place to work!
Our volunteers are more than volunteers to us; they become part of the Community Foundation family. Staff, volunteers, donors, and grant recipients all coming together around the common goal of wanting to make our community a better place for all.
To say thank you to all our volunteers and show how much we value and enjoy working with them, the staff decided to direct $1,000 from their Staff Appreciation Fund to the Smart & Caring Community Fund, to help support COVID-19 response and recovery grants in the coming months.
It’s true. We love our volunteers and are so grateful for all they do!
