“It’s an opportunity, not only to celebrate together, but to reach across divides and build new connections.”

Celebrating local community projects to mark Canada’s 150th!

Join us as we award Canada 150 grants to enable local charities to undertake special projects in Kingston over the coming year to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation.

When:     Wednesday Feb. 22nd @ 4pm
Where:    Memorial Hall, City Hall, 216 Ontario Street

This special granting opportunity has been made possible thanks to a partnership with Community Foundations of Canada and the City of Kingston. Through the Community Fund for Canada’s 150th we are funding local projects connected to Canada’s 150th, that:

  • ENCOURAGE participation in community activities and events to mark Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation;
  • INSPIRE a deeper understanding about the people, places and events that shape our country and our communities; and,
  • BUILD vibrant and healthy communities with the broadest possible engagement of all Canadians, including Indigenous peoples, groups that reflect our cultural diversity, youth, and official language minorities.

Come and find out what great projects will be funded here in Kingston to mark Canada’s sesquicentennial and have a meaningful impact in our community.
