Applications Open for the Regina Rosen Food First Fund
The Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the Regina Rosen Food First Fund granting program.
The Regina Rosen Food First Fund was established at the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area in 2012. The role of the Fund is to support organizations in Kingston and surrounding communities that are working on issues of food access and security.
These organizations should be engaged in procurement, production, preservation and/or food preparation, education and skill development, with a goal of alleviating hunger and food security in our communities. The $1,000 grant can be applied to project staff, equipment, distribution, promotion or food.
Any applicant organization must be a charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. Alternatively, they could have formally partnered with an organization that is either a charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency or a municipality.
The Regina Rosen Food First Committee is meeting in late October 2019 to determine the grant recipients for the first half of 2020. Applications received by 12pm on Friday, October 4, 2019 will be considered for this next round of funding.
Applications received after October 4, 2019 are still eligible for funding but will be considered for our second round of grants in the latter half of 2020.
